Dubai (amusement parks and other attractions)

After the desert and visiting Abu Dhabi , we had a few more days in Dubai. A few days to visit the most typical tourist spots. Although we skipped quite a few (e.g. Burj Khalifa). You can easily spend 10+ days in Dubai and you won't be bored for a single day. Especially if money is not an issue. Especially if you have children. There are a whole bunch of amusement parks, zoos, etc. for them. I'll write about what we visited and how we liked it.

  1. Dubai Mall Aquarium : nice, we all had a great time, quite a few special/rare species (the kids found it really interesting).
  2. The View on the Palm: a viewpoint from which you can see the Palm, our alternative to the Burj Khalifa. A top experience. Few people, a really nice explanation of how the Palm was built. Highly, highly recommended.
  3. Old Dubai, Gold Souk, Spice Souk, boat ride : highly recommended. Authentic, enjoyable experience. Although Vasko “didn’t let” me enter the jewelry store.
  4. Dubai Metro : The stations are beautiful and the metro ride offers a nice view of the city. We really liked it. A new experience for the little one.
  5. Dubai Fountains : ohhh, sooo beautiful. Must see!
  6. Dubai Safari Park : worth every penny! Like no Zoo before. No glass, no mesh fences (although obviously the animals are fenced in). A huge park, which means that the animals also have a lot of space. The best part is the Safari ride with a mini bus ( like Jurassic Park) ): tigers, lions, antelopes, giraffes, zebras, hippos , crocodiles, It's not that it's not . Really, worth every cent. But have enough energy and plan a whole day for this.
  7. Legoland : I also recommend it. No comments. We had a great time. Lots of blocks, lots of trains, it wasn't crowded. We spent the whole day there.
