When did we travel? Early July, afternoon, during the week.
How? By boat . From the port of Cavallino Treporti to San Marco Square. Or on foot in Venice itself.
Age of the children? 4 years and 2.5 years.
It wasn't crowded due to Covid. If I compare it to my visit in winter about five years ago, there were 3x more tourists than this time.
What did we watch?
Canals where gondolas used to ride.
Dazzling shop windows with all sorts of colorful glass figurines.
Rialto.
St. Mark's Square.
Narrow streets and bridges.
We went in reality for a walk . No museums, no fancy dinners, we only went into one church. The kids enjoyed the boat ride, the crowds, and chasing pigeons. Shitty They are with roses for 5€. Well cannoli We didn't like them (they were too artificial). Klara really wanted to take a gondola ride, but we couldn't make it happen for her. Second time, my love, my friend. The two kids walked without any problems, all this moving around in the streets just sucked them in. It's nice because there are no cars and everything is relaxed. You just have to stick together so you don't get lost. For a while we let Urban lead the way. Then we followed the signs (they are quite common on the buildings) to the Rialto.
Venice is a wonder of the world anyway. I don't understand how it's all still standing. It has its own charm, but I can't really write about any excesses. We were right fine .
They look pretty damn good in the photos, I have to admit.
